About Salient

Salient Pharma is a Danish company that develops and markets gel-based products to help people with reduced saliva production, to eat food and to relieve other debilitating symptoms due to severe dry mouth.

The company was established in 2015 as a virtual development company, and its products are based on an exclusive license for a patented technology, developed by a group of researchers affiliated with the University of Copenhagen. In the first phase, the company was virtual and utilizing partners and shareholders for resources and competencies.

Now is a full system for bringing the products to the market under construction. The first experiences are made initially in Denmark, The CE mark for the first product version was obtained in 2017, and subsequently clinical testing on patients was performed, with positive results.
